Banana Passionfruit Fruit

We are officially now in Autumn, and the banana passionfruit fruit is maturing 'nicely'. The pulp, complete with seeds, is very attractive to rats and birds. The seeds pass through their digestive tracts and are spread and propogated in the forest.

The picture above shows the vine's stems as they enter the ground. Note that after this picture was taken the stems were cut and poisoned.
